Maliki: we seek to normalize bilateral relations with KSA

(IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Premier, Nouri al-Maliki announced that “Iraq seeks to rehabilitate its relations with Saudi Arabia.”

Maliki said in a press statement “We seek to normalize the bilateral relations with the KSA and open door wide fro cooperation between both countries in all fields.”

“This is our message to the Saudi brothers and we do not have any ambitions in their lands or oil,” he added noting “We wish the Saudi side to positively respond our desire.”

Concerning the file of the Saudi prisoners in Iraq, Maliki pointed out that “I approved releasing the Saudi prisoners in Iraq and we are working on concluding an agreement to exchange prisoners between both countries.”
