Talabani’s wife meets Larijani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The wife of the Iraqi President, Mrs. Hiro Ibrahim, met with the Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani on Monday where Larijani stressed the necessity to upgrade the Iraqi-Iranian bilateral relations, referring to the importance of the ties between Iran and Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Mrs. Ibrahim, member of the PUK’s political office and her accompanying delegation has arrived to Tehran on last Sunday where they met with senior officials there.

The PUK’s media office reported that “Larijani wished the President, Jalal Talabani speedy recovery and near return to the country, appreciating his vital role in bringing the political sides closer.”

“For her part, Mrs. Ibrahim praised the warm reception shown by the Iranian officials, noting Kurdistan Region in general and the PUK in particular plays positive role to achieve security and stability for Iraq,” according to the report.
