IA soldier injured in Maysan

Maysan (IraqiNews.com) An Iraqi Army soldier was injured in Amara city of central Maysan province on Tuesday.

The spokesman of Maysan Operations Command, Muhanad al-Hashimi, stated to IraqiNews.com “A vehicle broke into the IA checkpoint without stopping in al-Majidiya area so a soldier opened fire targeting the vehicle injuring his friend mistakenly.”

“The security forces transferred the injured to the hospital,” he concluded.
