Iraqi satellite television resumes transmission

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Ashur satellite television will resume transmission in mid-January after its suspension in 2007, the technical director of the channel said on Friday. “The television agreed with the officials of the NileSat to resume transmitting the channel on January 15, 2009,” Sarmad Eshaq told IraqiNews.com news agency. “We may sign agreements to transmit the channel’s programs through other satellites,” he added.
