Political coalition calls Iraqi government to cut its relations with Turkey

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Secretary General of the Patriotic Sons of Iraq Coalition, Abbas al-Mohamedawi called the Iraqi government to cut its relations with Turkey, accusing the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi of implementing Turkish and Qatari agendas.

Mohamedawi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday “Turkey is responsible for the entry of the PKK militants to Iraq,” noting “The PKK organization comprises Iranian, Turkish, and Syrian elements who are enrolled in the world terrorist organizations list.”

“This irresponsible behavior by Turkey comes within its provocative behaviors towards Iraq,” he added calling on the government of Iraq to cut all its political and economic ties with Turkey.”

On other hand, Mohamedawi renewed his call to “dismiss Nijaifi, accusing him of performing Turkish and Qatari agendas.”

The Speaker Nijaifi has conducted unannounced visit to Turkey which coincided with the transfer of the PKK elements to north of Iraq where politicians and observers considered this visit as clear violation to Iraq’s sovereignty.
