Flights between Baghdad – Athens soon

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Transport will soon run air flights between Baghdad and Athens, becoming the second route between Iraq and Europe after Baghdad – Copenhagen, said the ministry’s official spokesperson. “Negotiations are currently underway between the ministry and a number of European and international airline companies to run flights between Baghdad and international capitals,” Sameer al-Sheweli told IraqiNews.com news agency. “This comes as an attempt to reduce the load on Iraqi passengers who currently need to travel to a neighboring country to catch a flight from there,” he added.
