SLC calls Kurdistan Region to protect Iraqi borders with Turkey

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Sami al-Askari, of the State of Law Coalition called Kurdistan Region to protect the Iraqi borders with Turkey and to prevent the entrance of the PKK elements into the Iraqi territories.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The security elements of Kurdistan Region must hinder the infiltration of the armed PKK into Iraq especially as they come publically accompanied by their arms.”

He asked “Whether the areas that the PKK entered has a deployed Iraqi army or security forces or not?”

Earlier, the military wing of the PKK announced the withdrawal of five groups of PKK elements into the Iraqi territories according to a peace agreement with Turkey.
