Urgent – Chairman of Nineveh PC survives assassination attempt

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Chairman of Nineveh Provincial Council survived an assassination attempt by an Improvised Explosive Device.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “An IED exploded targeting the parade of Nineveh PC, Jabur Mohammed al-Abed Ruba, near al-Atheba village of southern Mosul while heading to Baghdad where the explosion resulted in injuring three of his guards.”

“Abed Ruba did not get hurt and the explosion resulted in material damages to one of the vehicles of the accompanying parade,” the source concluded.
