SLC urges Kurds not to nominate Barzani for Presidency of Kurdistan Region for 3rd term

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The State of Law Coalition called the Kurds to adhere to the peaceful handover for authority by avoiding nominating the President of Kurdistan, Masoud Barzani, for 3rd term.

Earlier, the Kurdistani Democratic Party, headed by Barzani, announced that it will determine the issue of nominating Barzani through legal ways.

Sami al-Askari, of the SLC stated to IraqiNews.com “We used to hear the sides within the Kurdistani Alliance accusations for others over manipulating authority by nominating for third terms.”

“The KA must adhere to its call and to avoid nominating Barzani for third term,” he concluded.
