WHO donates $750 thousand to Kurdistan

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it has allocated $750 thousand to build two socio-health centers in the two provinces of Arbil and Sulaimaniya.   “The first center will be in Bali district (160 km north of Arbil), and the second inShorsh district (70 km west of Sulaimaniya),” Dr. Naema al-Qaseer, WHO’s director in Iraq, said in a press conference in Arbil. “The government of Holland will donate 85 percent of the total amount,” she added. “The two centers will serve around 4000 people in the two districts,” she noted.
