UNHCR closes Sudanese refugee camp in al-Anbar
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on Wednesday said that it closed a Sudanese refugee camp in al-Anbar province, after 42 of them departed the country to Romania. “The UNHCR closed camp K20 in al-Anbar province,” the UNHCR said in a release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Sudanese refugees have been living in this camp in al-Rutba, al-Anbar province, since 2005,” it added. “The refugees left Iraq to Romania on their way to be resettled in the U.S.,” it noted.
