Fountain plays Iraq’s national anthem in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The establishment of a fountain which plays Iraq’s national anthem was realized on Thursday at a cost of ID864 million ($750,000) in the city of Basra, the director of the Basra municipality said. “The municipality set up the fountain according to international standards and it is considered the first developed musical fountain in Iraq which plays the national anthem,” Engineer Ismail Ghazi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “It was established in al-Abassiya region in central Basra by a local company,” he noted.
