Kurdistan seeks to foster cultural relations with neighboring countries

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdish Minister of Culture, Falakaddin Kakeyi, on Friday said that his ministry seeks to boost cultural relations with all neighboring countries, including Turkey . “We seek to foster cultural and social relations between Kurdish and Turkish people, the matter which will contribute in boosting peace in the region,” Kakeyi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Turkish delegation which visited Arbil recently, returned to Ankara and expressed welcome to organize a Turkish cultural week in the Kurdistan region,” he continued. “The cultural week will include displaying films and Turkish plays as well as cultural activities of Turkish folklore,” he also said. Meanwhile, the minister revealed that the Iranian government suggested organizing an Iranian cultural week in Arbil. SH (P) 1
