6th unit of Khor al-Zubair power station rehabilitated

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The engineering and technical cadres at Khor al-Zubair gas electric power station managed to rejoin the sixth unit of the station to work at energy of 123 megawatt after conducting the programmed regular maintenance for the station which lasted for 42 days.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Electricity, Musab al-Mudaris, said “The maintenance works included monitoring and replacing the damages parts of the station’s 6th unit. After the maintenance was finished, we linked the sixth unit to the national power grid. The rehabilitation works have been started in the fifth unit of the station as well.”

“These steps come within the rehabilitation works conducted to the power stations that are supervised by director general of Basra electricity department to endure good performance for the station,” Mudaris added pointing out “The current energy of Khor al-Zubair station is up to 380 megawatt distributed on six gas units.”
