PM hopes emigrated intellectuals will return to Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki on Sunday hoped that intellectuals who departed the country because of military operations, “needs and deprivation,” will return to Iraq. “The state will be for them after we have achieved security stability,” al-Maliki said in a meeting in Baghdad with a group of Iraqi intellectuals, authors, artists, and athletes. “We seek a state ruled by law, because the final summation is that the state must have a law,” he added in the meeting that was covered by satellite stations.
