Khalil stresses conducting Kurdistan Region elections on time

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahma Khalil, of the Kurdistani Alliance stressed conducting the elections of Kurdistan Region on time, rejecting the decision of the Independent High Electoral Commission to postpone it.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The Kurdistani Regional Government decided the 21st of next September as a date for the elections of the Presidency of Kurdistan Region due to its readiness for this process.”

He criticized the decision of the IHEC to postpone it, assuring “The IHEC must consider the decision of Kurdistan RegionG and coordinate with it in this regard.”

Earlier, the IHEC announced its inability to conduct the elections of Kurdistan Region Presidency in the next September.
