Shimmari reveals pressures practiced on commission tasked to investigate Ki Card Co. violations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The spokesperson of the White bloc, MP Kadhim al-Shimmari revealed that the members of the commission tasked to investigate the violations of the world Ki Card Company were subject to threats and blackmails by the Company’s officials.

Shimmari said “The Commission that was formed on 29th, January, 2013 to investigate the violations of the Ki Card Co. was subject to major pressures and blackmails by the Company’s stakeholders.”

“The main reasons for not submitting the Commission’s report was due to the pressures sometimes and the temptations the Company’s officials practiced on some of the Commission’s members at other times whether through the delegations or presenting funds to prevent submitting the report despite the passage of four months when the Commission started its job,” he added.

“The Rasheed and Rafidein Banks are partners in the world company’s capital and have dues from the yearly profits that are estimated at 15%, but in fact the two banks did not receive any profits since three years,” Shimmari pointed out arguing that the Financial Supervision Council did not approve the budget of the Company according to its stakeholders’ statements.”

Shimari called the FSC and chiefs of the Rasheed and Rafidein Banks to interfere to protect the investigating Commission from pressures and blackmails, calling at the same time the parliament Economy and Investment Commission to do action to settle this serious file as soon as possible as it wasted much of the people’s revenues.
