Maliki, Japanese Ambassador to Iraq discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki discussed with the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, the bilateral relations.

A statement by the PM office received by IraqiNews.com reported “Maliki welcomed at his office in Baghdad, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Masatu Takaoka on Monday. Maliki stressed the necessity to develop the Iraqi-Japanese bilateral relations and attract the Japanese companies to work in Iraq,” noting “The Iraqi people has good relations with the Japanese people.”

“The PM called, during the meeting, to resolve all the problems that disturb upgrading the bilateral relations between both countries,” the statement added.

“For his part, the Ambassador of Japan renewed his country’s willingness to enhance the cooperation with Iraq in all fields, pointing out that the attendance of the Japanese businessmen in Iraq is increasingly growing,” the statement concluded.
