Zibari, Ahmadinejad discuss bilateral relations, Syrian crisis[05/31/2013]

(IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zibari discussed with the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iraqi-Iranian bilateral relations and the events in Iraq and the Syrian crisis.

Zibari has arrived on last Wednesday to Tehran coming from Kuwait to participate in the international conference Iran held to discuss the Syrian crisis.

The Iranian official (IRNA) News Agency reported “While receiving Zibari on last Wednesday, Ahmadinejad stressed the strength of the fraternal relations between Tehran and Baghdad, noting “The Iranian and Iraqi peoples should be united and side by side since the peoples will be able to confront the challenges and face the opponents if they achieve unity.”

“The Iranian President expressed his satisfaction towards the progress, stability and unity Iraq achieved, arguing “Iraq enjoys elected government after long years of dictatorship,” the report added.

For his part, Zibari praised “Iran’s support for the security, the stability and unity of Iraq, noting “Iran and Iraq have good joint coordination concerning the dealing with the bilateral and regional issues.”

The Iraqi FM said “All have to cooperate to find dialogue and agreement among the Syrian people to eliminate the existing sedition there.”
