7 long-range rockets seized in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi security forces on Monday found seven long-range rockets in a farm in northern Wassit, said a local security source. “Ministry of Interior’s quick response forces seized the rockets in a farm in al-Sawayra suburb (135 km north of Kut),” Major Aziz Lateef, the commander of the forces in Wassit, told IraqiNews.com. “Each rocket weighs 1,000 kg,” he said. “The operation relied on intelligence tips from local residents,” he added.
