Shawis, French delegation discuss Iraqi-French bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Ruz Nouri Shawis discussed with a French delegation comprising the French Ambassador to Iraq, Dennis Gower and Mary Berry Nicolette, Director of Middle East Department at the French Development Agency, the Iraqi-French bilateral relations.

A statement by the Deputy PM office reported “Shawis pointed out, during the meeting, that the Iraqi government commissioned the Ministry of Finance to confer about the French loan presented to Iraq which is assigned for two irrigational projects in Wasit province and Kurdistan Region.”

Shawit stressed that “Iraq is keen to make use of the international expertise in fields of development in all its kinds especially the French Development Agency.”

“For her part, Director of Middle East Dept, Nicolette, forwarded an report about the French Development Agency’s actions and its efforts to enhance the mutual cooperation in fields of construction,” according to the statement.
