Industry minister, Japanese Ambassador discuss common cooperation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Industry Ahmed al-Karbouli called the Japanese companies to submit their objections to the Japanese embassy in Iraq to regain their rights concerning counterfeiting the trade brands by local plants and companies in Iraq.

A statement by the ministry cited “The Minister of Industry discussed with the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Masatu Takaoka, and his accompanying delegation, means to enhance the mutual cooperation in fields of industry and building new plants for fertilizers, petrochemicals, urea and manufacturing the electrical convertors and cars.”

“The minister welcomed the proposal of building new factories for fertilizers and petrochemicals and stated the ministry’s willingness to work together in manufacturing cars and other specialized equipments,” the statement added.

“For his part, the Japanese Ambassador expressed pleasure for meeting Karbouli, stressing “Iraq is economically an important country and it is a focus of attention of the global markets, where we have many projects for rebuilding Iraq.” the statement concluded.
