Maliki-Nijaifi’s last meeting chance for politicians to prove their patriotism

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Karim Elewi of the Iraqi National Alliance called all the political sides to earnestly act to bridge the gap they enlarged between them and the people due to their disputes.

Elewi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday “The last meeting of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki with the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi is a chance for the politicians to prove their patriotism, and this step must be followed by other positive steps by all sides to agree on enacting laws that build the state.”

Elewi stressed the need to “legislate laws pertaining to the ministries and the law drafts related to the financial and administrative corruption to enhance the rule of law and eliminate the corruption at the state departments.”
