Hakim highlights necessity to confront terrorism

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, urged to counter the terrorism of all its forms.

Hakim mentioned in his personal Facebook page “We must confront the terrorism in all its forms and protect our territories in order to avoid adopting them as places or areas for the terrorism’s activities.”

The symbolic meeting was held on last Saturday at Hakim’s office in presence of leaders of the political blocs to unify the views and stand against the terrorism.

The meeting witnessed shaking hands between the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki and the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi after cutout of relations for months.
