Bazoni: Basra governor post granted for Citizen Alliance

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jawad al-Bazoni, of Basra Province revealed reaching a final agreement to form Basra Provincial Council by granting the post of the Council’s Chairman to the Citizen Alliance and the Governor post for members who will spilt from the State of Law Coalition.

Bazoni stated to IraqiNews.com “Six members of the State of Law Coalition are supposed to join the alliance, which was formed from the Citizen Alliance and Ahrar Trend,” noting that “The post of the Governor will be granted to Majid al-Nasrawi, a candidate of Citizen Coalition.”

“The presidency of Basra Provincial Council will be discussed with the six member who will spilt from State of Law Coalition,” he added.

“There will be no opposition forces since many of them joined Basra Coalition,” he concluded. \END\
