Jubouri wishes Maliki’s visit to Kurdistan Region contains no deals

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Omar al-Jubouri of the Iraqiya Slate warned from holding political deals during the Premier Nour al-Maliki’s visit to Erbil.

Maliki heading a ministerial delegation flew on last Sunday to Erbil where he hold the regular session of the Council of Ministers there.

Jubouri stated to IraqiNews.com “Maliki’s visit to Erbil is normal as the Kurdistan Region is part of the Iraqi state, and this visit is consistent with the Iraqi Constitution which stresses that the federal authority is responsible for maintaining the country’s security.”

“We wish this visit will not result in concluding deals for achieving personal and partisan gains that make the country’s unity subject to dangers, especially Kurdistan Region seeks to incorporate Kirkuk and large parts of Nineveh, Diyala, and Salah il-Din provinces to Kurdistan,” he added.
