Zebari receives two phone calls from his Iranian, Jordanian counterparts
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, received phone calls from his Iranian and Jordanian counterparts.
A statement by the Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Jordanian FM called Zebari to discuss the preparations of the visit of the Jordanian delegation to Iraq in addition to the issues of the Jordanian prisoners in Iraq where Zebari assured the adherence of the government to cooperate with the delegation over releasing a private amnesty for the prisoners and activate the agreement over exchanging the prisoners.”
“Zebari has also received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Ali Akbar Salihi, where he condemned targeting the Iranian pilgrims in Iraq by the criminals, expressing the readiness of the government to provide more protection to the pilgrims,” the statement concluded.
