IHEC, UN discuss Anbar , Nineveh PCs’ elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission and the United Nations discussed holding the elections of Anbar and Nineveh Provincial Councils.

A statement by the IHEC received by IraqiNews.com cited “The head of the IHEC, Sarbast Mustafa, received the Representative of the Secretary General of the UN, George Boston, where the latter congratulated the IHEC on the success of the local elections in Iraq on the 20th of April 2013.”

“The two sides discussed the preparations for holding the elections on the 20th of June 2013 in addition to the elections of Kurdistan Region on the 21st of September 2013,” the statement concluded.
