Najaf new PC nominates Jobouri as its Chairman

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) Najaf new Provincial Council voted on nominating Khudair Nima al-Jobouri of the State Just Trend as its Chairman on Thursday.

IraqiNews.com reporter stated “Jobouri got 15 votes out of 29 while Citizen and Ahrar alliances objected the nomination and considered it as illegal since the post requires 16 votes.”

He added “The two alliances announced their intention to appeal to the Federal Court against the nomination,” noting that “Member of the State of Law Coalition, Luay al-Yasiri, was nominated as the Deputy Chairman after getting 23 votes out of 29.”
