Diyala PC fails in nominating new Governor, PC Chairman

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Diyala Provincial Council failed in nominating the new Governor and the new PC Chairman due to the lack of quorum during its Thursday session.

Informed source stated to IraqiNews.com “The attending members failed in nominating the Governor and the PC Chairman due to the lack of quorum because the bloc of the Iraqi National Alliance as well as the Kurdish Coexistence Slate did not attend the session.”

The attending members performed the constitutional oath before the head of Diyala Cassation Court, Jasim al-Omari.

“The session that was lifted till further notice attended by 14 members out of 29,” the source concluded.
