Iraqiya, Mutahidoun assure their support to Hakim’s initiative

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Salman al-Jumaili head the Iraqiya bloc and MP Dhafir al-Ani, spokesperson of Mutahidoun (United) Coalition stressed their support to the initiative of Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council in which he called to hold inclusive meeting to discuss resolving the political and secure crises in Iraq.

Hakim called on May 22nd all the political sides and both of the Sunni and Shiite Endowments along with Kurdistan Region to hold inclusive meeting at his office in Baghdad to discuss resolving the political crisis and confronting terrorism.

A statement by the SIIC reported “Hakim received on Monday each of MP Slaman al-Jumaili and MP Dahfir al-Ani.”

Hakim called to “speed up holding the national meeting to address all the problems.”

“The two sides expressed their worries towards the regrettable security deterioration in Baghdad and the other provinces over the past days. The attendees also discussed the legislations required in the next season of the parliament and the formation of the next local governments,” the statement added.
