Oil Ministry: Iraq’s exports of crude oil reach 2,6 million barrel per day during May 2013

(IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Oil announced stability of Iraq’s exports of crude oil during current May if compared with last April.

Iraq’s exports of crude oil during last April reached 2,6 million barrel per day.

The Iraqi Minister of Oil, Abdul Karim Luaibi, said in a statement on Sunday “The average of oil exports climbed to 2,6 million barrel daily in May after being affected by sabotage targeting Kirkuk oil pipelines where the production reached 3,15 million barrel daily during May.”

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish Kirkuk-Jihan carrier pipeline was subject to sabotage during current May inside the Iraqi territories that led to stoppage of the oil exports for some days.

The Oil Minister added “The Oil Ministry will resume the production at Majnoun Oil Field by the beginning of next July after completing the rehabilitation works at the field.”
