IHEC takes measures for Anbar – Nineveh’s local elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission announced taking several measures related to Anbar and Nineveh’s local elections scheduled on next June, 20th.

Member of Commissioners Board, Safa al-Musawi, said “The Commissioners Board is addressing some cases related to Anbar and Nineveh’s provincial elections,” noting “A commission was formed to monitor the voters register headed by a member from the Commissioners Board.”

Concerning the private voting of the security forces, Musawi said that “The Commissioners board will hold a meeting to identify a date for the private polling within the procedures adopted for this subject.”

Kilshan Kamal, member of the Commissioners Board had stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on last Monday that “The private voting of Anbar and Nineveh provinces will be conducted along with the general polling.”
