Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with a delegation of Diyala National Alliance the formation of Diyala local government.
A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received a delegation of Diyala National Alliance except al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend which is within the alliance, where the delegation informed Hakim of the formation of Diyala local government in addition to the clear marginalization to two major blocs in the province.”
“The delegation called al-Ahrar bloc to adhere to its commitments conducted with the other members of the alliance, ” the statement added, noting that “The local government will be weak because it marginalizes the Kurds and big part of the Shiite,” calling to “Reconsider the formation of the government and include these two major parts.”
