Iraqi oil exports decrease in June

Follow-up (IraqiNews.com)- A source in the Iraqi oil sector revealed the decline in exports of Iraqi crude oil with about 220,000 barrels per day since the beginning of June, 2013 due to bad weather on the loading and export operations.

The Iraqi total exports fell to 2.484 million barrels per day in May from 2.62 million bpd in April, attributed to maintenance works in the production facilities of South Oil Company.

He added that “Oil exports in the past few months have slowed, after rising by a large margin in the past year, 2012, as exports fell last month, also due to lower shipments of Kirkuk crude oil on the line of Ceyhan after the attacks on the pipeline in addition to maintenance works in the pumping stations in the south of the country.”
