44 arrested in Baghdad in 24 hours

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A total of 42 wanted men and two suspects have been arrested in different parts of the Iraqi capital throughout the past 24 hours, Baghdad’s Operations Command (BOC) said on Sunday. “Iraqi security forces captured 14 persons in al-Karkh side and 30 others in al-Rasafa side, including two suspects,” Maj. Gen. Qassem Ata told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were defused,” Ata noted, adding that four security personnel were wounded during the operations. SS (P) 1
