Shaheen: Iraq, Egypt relations not to be affected by sectarianism

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Shareef Kamak Shaheen, assured that the mutual relations between Iraq and Egypt not to be affected by sectarianism where they are strong and activated in all fields.

In a press statement, Shaheen stated “Killing four Egyptians in Egypt has no political purpose where it is a crime that must be investigate and the doers must be killed.”

Regarding the gathering of some Iraqis before the Egyptian Embassy in Iraq to protest killing the Egyptian clergyman, Hassan Shahata, Shaheen said “It was a limited number of citizens protesting this accident and we have dealt with them,” noting that “The message of Azhar Mosque assured that Egypt is the middle minaret in the Islamic world.”
