Iraq supports moderation in Region, says Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki commented on the decision of relieving Iraq from the UN Charter’s seventh Chapter by saying that “Iraq became free now from the obligations set on the country due to the foolish policies of the former regime in Iraq.”

He said in speech after the voting of the UN Security Council for relieving Iraq from the UN sanctions, “We put all our capacities to support moderation in the region and we are ready to cooperate with all countries.”

Maliki emphasized that “Iraq would not join the policy of axes or cantons.”
