Lakash demands Maliki to replace head of Prisoners Establishment

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mohammed al-Lakash of the Citizen Bloc demanded the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to replace the head of the Political Prisoners Establishment.

Lakash mentioned in a statement to IraqiNews.com Friday “Insistence on keeping Safa al-Din al-Safi as the head of the Political Prisoners Establishment is legal violation,” noting that “Maliki should find a replacement for him according to regulations of the Establishment.”

It is worth to mention that the Political Prisoners Establishment was formed according to the Law No. 4 of 2006 to guarantee rights of the political prisoners in Iraq.
