Citizen bloc calls to eliminate corruption as a next step following lifting UN sanctions on Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament Citizen bloc called to mobilize all efforts and capacities in preparation for rebuilding Iraq after the country got rid of the UN sanctions.

The UN Security Council had voted on relieving Iraq from the UN Charter’s seventh Chapter.

Congratulating the Iraqis on lifting the UN sanctions, the Head of the bloc, Bayan Baqir al-Zubaidi said “We call on the Iraqis to be ready to start a new phase which centers on consolidating the national unity and rebuilding the country and eliminate the scourge of corruption.”
