Assassins of human rights activist arrested

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Interior Ministry on Thursday said that it arrested the assassins of Dr. Ali al-Adhadh, a physics scholar, human rights activists and senior member of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC), according to AL-IRAQIYA semi-official TV station. “The assassins of Dr. al-Adhadh, his wife and 18 other people were arrested,” General Abdilkareem Khalaf, director of the ministry’s national defense center, told the station. The channel did not report more details. Al-Adhadh and his wife were assassinated on Nov. 18, 2006 in al-Maamoon neighborhood, western Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
