Urgent – 15 Civilians killed, wounded in Nahrwan

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) About 15 civilians were killed and wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded nearby a popular football playground to the east of Baghdad.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The IED, which exploded near a popular football playground in Nahrwan area, resulted in killing six persons and wounding nine others.”

”The security forces rushed to the explosion location transporting the corpses to the morgue and the wounded people to the hospital for treatment,” the source added.

Baghdad and other provinces witnessed an increase in the terrorist operations by car bombs or IEDs targeting gathering of young men at the sports playgrounds and cafes.
