Iraq releases 57 Saudi prisoners

(IraqiNews.com) Saudi newspaper revealed that the Iraqi authorities released 57 Saudi prisoners in Iraq.

Iraq and Saudi Arabia had agreed on 24th of past June on exchanging prisoners between both countries to allow them spend their sentences in their countries where this agreement comes within the Riyadh Agreement for Judicial Cooperation for 1983.

The Saudi Watan newspaper reported official at the Defending Saudi prisoners in Iraq committee, Thamir al-Bilaihid as saying “The Iraqi authorities released 57 Saudi prisoners.”

This release comes a day before the expected visit of a Saudi security delegation to Baghdad scheduled on next Wednesday to settle the file of exchanging the prisoners between both countries.
