7 civilians killed in accident in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: At least seven civilians were killed and others were wounded in an accident in northwest of Basra, the Multinational forces in southern Iraq said on Wednesday. “A bus collided with a Multinational forces’ armored vehicle at 10:00pm on Tuesday (Feb. 17) on the highway in northwest of Basra, killing seven civilians and injuring others,” Major Bill Young, the official spokesman for the MNF, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Iraqi police and British military police are investigating the incident,” he noted. Basra is 590 km south of Baghdad. SH (P) 1
