Nijaifi, Croatian Ambassador to Iraq discuss mutual relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, discussed with the Croatian Ambassador to Iraq, the bilateral relations and the means of inaugurating a Croatian embassy in Iraq.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Nijaifi received the Croatian Ambassador at his office in Baghdad where they discussed the mutual relations and the means of promoting them.”

“Nijaifi congratulated the Croatian Ambassador for Croatia’s joining the European Union, describing this issue as an important chance for the Croatian people,” the statement added.

“For his part, the Croatian Ambassador assured the readiness of his country to inaugurate an Iraqi embassy in Croatia, asking Nijaifi to interfere in this issue due to its importance in developing the mutual relations where Nijaifi promised to pay a special attention for this issue,” the statement concluded.
