40 arrested on “terrorist – criminal” charges in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen captured 40 wanted men and suspects on charges of involvement in “terrorist and criminal” cases and seized weapons, psychotropic pills and unlicensed vehicles and motorbikes in a large-scale security raid in different areas of Basra on Saturday, the province’s police media office said. “Arms and psychotropic drugs were seized in the possession of one of the detained persons,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Nine unlicensed vehicles and 18 unlicensed motorbikes were also seized,” the office added.
