57 wanted men, suspects nabbed in Basra
BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Fifty-seven wanted persons and suspects on Tuesday were captured on criminal and terror-related charges in different parts of Basra province, according to a local source. “During a wide-scale security operation in different parts of Basra, 37 wanted men and 20 suspects were nabbed,” the media office of Basra’s police told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Two 82 mm mortar shells and 10 cannon balls were seized in al-Athar area (35 km west of Basra),” the office added. “Nine vehicles and five motorbikes were also confiscated,” according to the same source.
