Lakash calls parliament to summon Maliki on new arms deal with Russia

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mohamed al-Lakash of the Citizen bloc called the parliament to host the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki next week.

Lakash said “The parliament should summon Maliki next week to review his report over the arms deal he concluded with Russia during his last visit there.”

The General Commander for Armed Forces, Maliki, had stressed during his visit to Russia on 2nd of current July that there are no obstacles face the arms deal concluded between both countries in 2012.

The Iraqi government had concluded arms deals with Russia and Czech in 2012 valued at $ 4.2.
