Legal Committee, Kirkuk PC discuss Kirkuk PC elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Legal Committee discussed with Kirkuk Provincial Council holding the elections of Kirkuk PC and constructing an electric station in Kirkuk.

A statement by Kirkuk PC received by IraqiNews.com cited “The head of the Legal Committee, Khalid Shwani, discussed with the chairman of Kirkuk PC, Hassan Turman and the members of Kirkuk PC, the construction of an electric station in the province that should be executed at the end of 2013 according to the deal between Kirkuk Pc and the Deputy Premier for the Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shihristani.”

“Shwani expressed the readiness of the MPs of Kirkuk to accompany the members of Kirkuk PC and visit Shihristani or the Electricity Ministry to expedite constructing the electric station,” the statement added.

“The two sides have also discussed the latest updates of holding the elections of Kirkuk PC and the recent talks among the political blocs at the parliament to settle this issue in order to make sure that all parts can participate in the elections to serve the citizens of Kirkuk,” the statement concluded.
