6 AQI members nabbed in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Six al-Qaeda in Iraq members on Monday were arrested in different parts of Diala province, according to a local police chief. “During military operations that covered different parts of Baaquba, police forces arrested six AQI members, who are wanted by the judicial authorities in accordance with Article IV of the Terrorism Law,” Staff Maj. Gen. Abdelhussein al-Shamri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A hostage was released during the operations,” Shamri added. Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
